Speciale ride with ICE-TD 605
Aachen - Amsterdam
To bring the strategic alliance in the Euregio to attention on a special way and to underscore the importance of better railway connections, a delegation travelled on June 13, 2007 with a special ICE train from Aachen via Heerlen and Eindhoven to the ProVaDa in Amsterdam.
For this special occasion one chose a Dieselvariant of the ICE from the Deutsche Bahn because the first part of the trip would take place on the non-wired trace between Herzogenrath and Landgraaf. Above all the board of the railwaydepartement Aachen would be interested to use these DMU's in this region.
The journey startet 09.21 in Aachen and the train passed the dutch border at 09:46 at Kerkrade-Haanrade.
